Tropical Islands, just south of Berlin in Germany, is one of the most iconic and unique attractions you could ever go to. Housed in a former airship hanger, it is the largest free standing hall in the world and has an amazing, futuristic look as you approach. Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, it offers indoor and outdoor activities, beaches, lagoons, slides, spas and much, much more. You can stay inside the dome to get a real tropical feel or outside in one of their lodges, tents or even a teepee!
The management decided to introduce Haystack’s Hurricane dryers to the guest experience to allow them to get dry before exploring other areas, eating, engaging in an activity or going back to their accommodation. As such, we have started with two dryers at key locations to ensure the guests will have access to them during their day. There is one by the changing room area as you enter and also one closer to the lagoon in the Tropical Sea area. Both dryers are connected to the Gantner cashless payment system and guests can charge their drying experience to their account, via their RFID wristband.
Simon Nicholson, BDM for Haystack Dryers, said “We are so happy to add Tropical Islands to our growing list of German resorts and waterparks. We are especially pleased to hear that the dryers have been very busy since they were added. Adding successful guest services that can also increase secondary spend is a win-win for everyone concerned”Back to News
